Hello God? It’s me, Brian.

By sydney@alias | September 14, 2008

The National Review has picked up on the latest controversy surrounding our popular and omnipotent Governor. Of course, it’s no surprise that lawyer and Schweitzer donor Larry Anderson has come to the Governor’s defense.

I’m glad to see that Governor Brian Schweitzer’s antics have attracted national attention but the question now is where do we go from here? Jon Tester doesn’t seem to mind that his victory may have been fraudulent which is what I’ve come to expect from Democrats. AG Mike McGrath is putting politics above everything, and Schweitzer continues to count on everyone believing that his sense of humor is messed up (and not funny). I realize that the Governor of a state is powerful, but is Brian Schweitzer really so dangerous that the powers that be are afraid to look deeper?

Even in Butte, I think it’s still illegal to put your political enemies in traction.

**Update- Charles Johnson, Helena Bureau Lee Newspaper Chief, writes scathingly of the good Governor’s humor.  I sure hope that his off the cuff “joking” doesn’t cost him an even more powerful position in the future.

Tester’s victory may have been fraudulent? Come on, you’re embarrassing yourself.

I know that you desperately wish that this mattered, but could you lay off the crack pipe before you post? Even if all of your absurd allegations were true–even though no one has come forward in a week to prove–it would have no impact on the final vote tally.

Talk about something that matters. Try to tell the truth. Two good goals for you and the McCain campaign this week.

When you first posted, you made it sound like it wasn’t even in the speech. Then when the transcript was posted, you ignored it. Now your argument is that we don’t have facts? Ask McGrath to investigate. Then he can show that Schweitzer did nothing wrong. Until then, we have his admission that he messed with the election.

Well, given that this site lacked the requisite skill to tell the time of the comments, it was hardly my fault.

And I haven’t ignored it. I’ve written extensively about it, but you guys don’t leave the cave of ideological purity too often, do you?

Investigate what? Has anyone come forward? Is anyone willing to testify that fraud occurred? It seems to be that those are necessary elements of investigating a crime. There won’t be anyone, because nothing happened.

Why don’t you guys work really hard all week to come up with one reason to vote FOR Roy Brown, rather than inventing pathetic reasons to vote against Governor Schweitzer?

    Good luck.

Reminds one of the Tester/Burns race…no once could ever give a legitimate reason to vote FOR Tester, just reasons to vote AGAINST Burns.

    Paybacks a bitch, ain’t it?
